The Conference of the Parties (COP 16) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity is underway in Columbia and Te Whānau o Waipareira were invited to have a seat at this prestigious table.

After 37 hours of travelling from Aotearoa, our COO, Awerangi Tamihere and Director of Health Reforms, Lance Norman arrived in Cali, Columbia to join delegates at COP's 16th Convention. Attendees at COP16, formally the 16th Conference of Parties to the UN Biodiversity Convention, will discuss how to restore rapidly degrading lands and seas in a way that protects the planet and respects the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities. #WaiGlobal
