Hawaiki Hou celebrates rangatahi talent

Te Whānau o Waipareira is proud to announce the release of Hawaiki Hou, a powerful new bilingual waiata and music video that celebrates the next generation of Māori artists and Te Whānau o Waipareira's committment to our rangatahi.

Composed by the talented Makaira Berry and produced by Crescendo - a local rangatahi-focused music development group - Hawaiki Hou is a declaration of cultural identity, creative potential and the power of community. The project was developed using a tuakana teina model, pairing established Aotearoa artists with Waipareira rangatahi.

The music video was shot in-studio at Te Puna Creative Hub's Komanawa Digital Theatre, with a world premiere held for selected guests from Māori music media and Waipareira partners.
