Te Whānau o Waipareira is packing and distributing Whānau Ora Hygiene Packs this week to fight against the spread of COVID-19 in vulnerable communities.
Te Pae Herenga o Tāmaki Whānau Ora Partners are collecting and distributing the packs in North, West and East Auckland.
Each pack contains enough hand sanitiser, gloves and cleaning products for a family of up to five members for a month, with further waves of packs being delivered throughout the month.
The packs are a Whānau Ora initiative that aims to help whānau be hygiene prepared and limit the spread of COVID-19.
“We hope to be able to keep these deliveries going and ensure that our most vulnerable whānau are protected before winter comes and COVID-19 really hits,” said CEO John Tamihere.
