Here is the extensive Annual Report for Te Whānau O Waipareira 2019-2020. This report that reflects a very challenging yet highly rewarding year for everyone. COVID-19 turned us all into essential workers who reassured, supported and helped our West Auckland rohe and beyond without hesitation.
“As Māori our response meant everyone rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, as we do on our Marae”. TWOW Chairman Raymond Hall.
Thank you to all of our kaimahi and volunteers who adapted easily to frontline and distribution work ensuring whānau were regularly contacted, comforted and armed with hygiene and kai packs. Throughout this period our regular programmes continued around the different COVID levels, plus new strategies for our people were implemented to reflect these ever-changing times. Our partners were instrumental in our collective response that helped us not only identify but assist our most isolated and vulnerable – a response that continues to this day.
