‘Epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki ‘Āirani 2023

Kia orana tatou kātoatoa! Te Whānau o Waipareira are proud to celebrate ‘Epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki ‘Āirani - Cook Island Language Week 2023!

We currently have over 20 Kaimahi who identify as Kūki (Cook Islander) here at Waipareira across our Frontline, Data, Operations, Executive, Commissioning and Back Office teams.

This year, the Cook Islands Language Week theme is 'Ātuitui’ia au ki te au peu o tōku kāinga Ipukarea’ which translates to Connect me to the traditions & culture of my homeland.

The Cook Island Committee are excited to share their vibrant and rich culture with the organisation through song, dance and other exciting activities.

"We look forward to sharing our knowledge and cultural traditions with our Waipareira whānau over the next week. Our aim is to showcase the diversity of our organisation."

For the past 30 years, Waipareira have provided free services and support for whānau of all ages in West Auckland – health, legal, housing and education.
