Dr Zarah Allport presents at the World Congress on Public Health Conference in Rome

Our Wai Puna Clinical Director, Dr Zarah Allport is in Rome, Italy at the World Congress on Public Health Conference where, alongside other indigenous public health experts, led multiple workshops and sessions on indigenous public health. Dr Zarah used our hard mahi as an example of the strengths of ‘by Māori for Māori’ public health measures.

Experts were impressed to hear the many successful ways Te Whānau o Waipareira stepped up to protect Māori lives, and were excited to hear about how we had taken these learnings from COVID 19 which we continue to grow and implement.
