Canadian Governmental Delegation Visit Te Whānau o Waipareira
Te Whānau o Waipareira were honoured to host The Hon. Patty Hajdu, Canadian Minister for Indigenous Services and her Delegation, today.
Minister Hadju’s focus is ensuring every Canadian has equal chance of success and she is interested to learn from service providers like Waipareira about community well-being and development, alongside indigenous self-determination.

The group of 15 dignitaries also included Deputy Canadian Minister for Indigenous Services, Gina Wilson; Chairperson of the National Indigenous Economic Development Board, Dawn Madahbee; and Her Excellency Joanne Lemay, High Commissioner of Canada to New Zealand. They will be joined by executive members from Te Puni Kōkiri including Tāmaki Director, Martin Mariassouce, Director of Operations, Jesse Roth and Cultural Advisor, Derek Fox.
