Scholarships and Sponsorships

Where possible and appropriate Te Whānau o Waipareira will provide scholarships to individuals and sponsorship for community events. Every year a large number of requests are received for scholarships and sponsorships and this year the Board has formalised and made this process more transparent.

Scholarships are a strategic component of Te Whānau o Waipareira promotion of educational and vocational training objectives. We recognise and support academic opportunities, and our commitment to develop future global leaders within our Māori communities.

The scholarship offers financial support to study and each request is considered individually.

In assessing Scholarships, we evaluate the overall opportunity of community partnership and the impact on the community sectors in which we service.

Submissions for Scholarships open for (1) month, twice a year.

1. Open: 1st February Close out: 28th February
2. Open: 1st October Close out: 31st October

Sponsorship is a strategic component of Te Whānau o Waipareira promotional objectives. In assessing sponsorships, and any union of interest, we evaluate the overall investment opportunity and the charitable purpose that fits within our constitution, our community engagement and the beneficial purposes within New Zealand.

Your request for sponsorship must be submitted online at least (4) months prior to the start of the activities related to your event.

For more information about either a scholarship or sponsorship please refer to attached documents.
