Parents as first teachers

PAFT is based on the philosophy that parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. We agree and offer support and guidance to parents in this role.

Incredible Years

Our Incredible Years programme provides parenting advice to caregivers based on the Incredible Years parenting philosophy.

Budgeting services

We provide budgeting and finance advice that supports Whānau achieving their goals.

ACC Home and Community Support Services

We provide high quality care for Whānau in their homes who have serious injuries that affect you in your everyday life.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Service

We provide support to improve healthy lifestyles by delivering cardiac rehabilitation programmes.

Community Health Navigator

We provide support to Whānau who have been diagnosed with cancer. Supporting them with GP and specialist visits.

Cervical Screening Services

We provide cervical screening, assessments, and treatment services to wahine in our community.

DSME - Māori and Pacific Self Management

We work alongside other Māori and Pacific health organisations to ensure that Māori and Pacific people with type 2 diabetes have full access and support to diabetes self management education.

Home Based Support Services

We provide services for Whānau with a disability who are experiencing difficulty caring for themselves (for many reasons e.g. illness, post surgery, chronic medical condition) by providing personal caregivers that care and meet daily household tasks.

Kaupapa Māori Mental Health Services-Day Programmes

We deliver a range of programmes including education, socialisation and up skilling based on the individual whānau wants and or needs.

Advocacy/Peer Support-Families/Whānau-Child, Adolescent and Youth

We educate and Support parents who have child/adolescents with mental illness.

Community Support Work

We provide community support work for mainstream adults.

Kaupapa Māori Alcohol & Drug Services (Non-Clinical)

We provide drug and alcohol intervention and addiction counselling.

Iwi Support Work Service

We provide community support for Māori with mental health illnesses.

Home Based Recovery Support Service

We provide a home based support service for individuals with mental health and with high needs.

Mobile Māori Nursing

We provide a Māori Mobile Nursing service for enrolled adult Whānau (mainly Māori) who have lung, diabetes and/or heart disease.

Tikanga Māori Services (Community Probation)

We provide a Tikanga Māori programme for offenders to help them reintegrate traditional Māori values, practices and philosophies into everyday life.

Tawhirimatea Respondent Programme

Our Tawhirimatea Respondent programme has been developed in response to a call from Māori in our local community to address Whānau violence. Respondent programmes will focus on stopping or preventing domestic violence.

Family Centred Service Programme

We provide an 8 week healing and therapeutic support programme addressing domestic/ intergenerational/ intimate partner violence.
