Service Description

Family support services

We provide short term support (up to 3 months) for Whānau. (usually Whānau with multiple needs).Our support includes advocacy with agencies, linking to other support services etc.

Strengthening Families

We support Whānau Connectedness by engaging appropriate services, and multiple agencies support around Whānau through the strengthening families process.

Kaitoko Whānau Programme

We provide Support and advice for Māori Whānau linking to appropriate education, employment and health services.

Whai Ao (Public Health)

We aim to deliver public health programmes and services which are designed by Māori for Māori, (but not exclusively), to improve Māori health.

Oral Health Service

We provide advice on dental services for all age groups.

Family Violence Screening

Our Family Violence Project was established to screen and identify Whānau who are exposed to family violence and provide appropriate support, and linkages to other support services.

Behaviour Support

Taikura Trust refer whānau to us who have challenging intellectual disability behaviour. This allows us to support Whānau to develop a plan to better manage their behaviour.

Community Nutrition, CVD Prevention

We promote the importance of a healthy diet, regular physical activity, smokefree Whānau and healthy lifestyles to Māori communities.
