us What's coming soon Search - The website is not so big right now but as it grows we will add a search function so you can find things easy - and even look up old articles because we'll be archiving them onsite too. Registration - Yes, you will be able to register with the Trust online sometime in the future and that means you will know when a new service starts and when events happen.

Waitangi day website launch blows! 6 February 2007 Our new website is set to blowout the cyber-cobwebs. It's a cross between a brochure and a newspaper and comes with some nice features you're going to like. What's that you say - "Go on then, impress me!" Um ok, following the request for a website capable of sending music videos from computers to cell phones to MP3 players and indeed to your microwaves screens ... we settled for a more streamlined approach. So here's what you get now, and will get in the future. What you get now Look & feel - That's how the website geeks describe how the website appears to you. We've got clearer and bigger text, a simpler menu to find things, multiple ways to get to a page, better pictures, journo style writing for an easy read, a narrow frame so that no matter what computer monitor you have you should never never have to scroll sideways, and much more. We've moved on from the "old school" look and you can quickly see on the front home page exactly what is there and go straight to it. You should not get lost - but if you do tell us and we'll make it better. News - Not boring promotional-speak for bureaucrats but for news for normal people in everyday language. Information - That's right, this is what you call an information rich website. That means we will slowly but surely fill it up with useful information. By the way if something is missing feel free to ask us to put it here. What's on - Up to date local events and activities for everyone, and we'll tell you if its free, and we'll list your event if it's free - for free ... so if you charge for your event and want it listed a koha would be cool, but we won't make you. Contact us - No more wondering whether the phone is the only way to find us. We have addresses, phone, fax and forms for you to contact us anytime you like. Ask us a question, send us news, send us panui or something for the What's On page, right here. Statistics - The website now counts who comes and looks, where they go and for how long. So we can redesign bits of the website to suit the way you use it. Accessibility - Did you know that there are ways of designing websites for people with disabilities - or people with slow dial up speeds on their computers? Well, that's how we've designed our site. So our pictures are faster to download and we don't have lots of bells and whistles that look good the first three times, then drive you crazy for the rest of the time. |
