Te Whanau O Waipareira want to thank everyone who have contributed to our successful year of 2007. At this time of the year the Whanau can truly celebrate their achievements and be proud of a good job done, with the great turnaround that has occurred over the past 18 months, given the state the Whanau was in on 12 April 2006.

E Koro ma e Kui ma, tena koutou katoa mo te tautoko a te Whanau me te kaupapa o Waipareira. To our Roopu Kaumatua we acknowledge your contributions this year and thank you for supporting the stance of Waipareira ‘kokiritia I roto I te kotahitanga’ your ongoing help to us during 2007 was well noted by us all. Manaakitia e te Atua o Te Rangi. E Kui ma, e Koro ma, Tena ra koutou katoa.

To all our workers, thank you everyone for your endurance and sacrifices that you have made, to ensure that we supported the whanau this year. For your special times in helping the Trust move on during the crucial times, your contributions have not gone unnoticed. Nga mihi koutou katoa.

To everyone who have utilised our services in 2007, thank you for adding value to Waipareira, we hope that you have had a joyful Christmas and we look forward to your continuing support for 2008.

Our Vision for 2008 – ‘Whaia te toi o nga rangi’ (go beyond the heavens to gain the best). In 2008 we know we will need to step up and beyond our comfort areas to further advance our Whanau.

We know there are some very exciting activities, events and services that have been planned and some that will be implemented this year, to meet the needs of our whanau, our rohe and our hapu. It is our intention to widen the horizons and potential so that all may come through the gate way of opportunity as Rangatira, upholding mana and dignity high as a symbol of respect to our Nations.

The way we conduct ourselves must ultimately uphold the mana of our urban whanau – our Kuia and Koro as our guiding lights, our Rangatahi our future and our Mokopuna and Tama Ariki our source of inspiration.
